Abstract


Abstract : Schwannomas (neurilemmomas, neurinomas) are
benign, slowly growing tumours arising from nerve sheath
from different nerves including cranial, spinal roots or
peripheral nerves. Its the most common benign peripheral
nerve neoplasm. Malignant transformation is very rare. Here
we have presented a case of schwannoma from superficial
peroneal nerve, unusual nerve to be involved as only three
cases have been reported in world literature before our case.
