A CASE REPORT OF UNILATERAL PURTSCHER RETINOPATHY FOLLOWING HEAD INJURY
Abstract
Purtscher retinopathy is a traumatic angiopathy causing sudden blurring of vision without direct eye injury. A 28 year old male presented with sudden decrease in vision in the left eye following head injury. Fundus findings include multiple cotton wool spots and retinal edema. Although purtscher retinopathy is rare, sometimes it presents as a vision threatening condition.
