Abstract

Sjogren’s syndrome (SS) is an autoimmune disease commonly seen in middle aged women. It is characterised by lymphocytic glandular infiltrates and various other extra-glandular manifestations. The proposed mechanisms involved in its pathogenesis are immunological, viral , hereditary , environmental and hormonal changes. We report here a 28 year old lady who presented with intermittent lower limb weakness secondary to hypokalemia and diagnosed to have SS.
