INTERVENTION IN CASES OF VASCULAR COMPLICATION OF PANCREATITIS

SITARA G

Abstract

Vascular complications such as aneurysm and thrombosis are common complications of
chronic pancreatitis. Rupture of aneurysm presents with a high mortality rate and treatment should be
initiated in any patient with symptoms or other high risk patients. Endovascular treatment with coils
was found to be an effective management than open surgical ligation or resection.
