RECURRENT HUGE LEIOMYOMA FROM THE CERVICAL STUMP - A RARE CASE REPORT.

Abstract


Hysterectomy is most often done as the surgical treatment for symptomatic uterine fibroid. If supracervical hysterectomy done for fibroid, the remnant cervix has the potential for recurrent leiomyoma formation. This is a case report of a 40 yrs female P1L1, abdominal hysterectomy done 6 yrs back presented with mass abdomen and after                 laparotomy found to have a large recurrent leiomyoma arising from the cervical stump.
