Penile metastasis from muscle invasive urothelial carcinoma of bladder - Case report and review of literature

SENTHIL KUMAR

Abstract

Penile metastasis is an uncommon entity
with around 370 odd cases reported in
literature.Most of the penile metastasis
arise from primary tumours in the genitourinary
tract ,which accountsfor 70 of
these cases. Most common symptoms
are pain and multiple swellings over the
penis,sometimes associated with priapism.
Treatment is usually palliative, due
to poor general condition ofpatients and
disseminated disease, with either Radiotherapy
or surgical excision by partial or
totalpenectomy.
