Primary osteosarcoma breast - A rare breast tumor

Abstract


Primary osteosarcoma of the breast is a rare    malignancy of the breast. It represents 12.5 percent of            mammary sarcomas and 1persent of all primary                      malignancies. It arises from the mesenchymal cells of             interlobular stroma of the breast. Secondary from primary osteosarcoma of the bone should be ruled out before labeling as primary osteosarcoma of the breast. In addition direct extension from the underlying skeleton also to be ruled out. it is aggressive in nature which is histologically similar to          primary osteosarcoma of the bone and usually presents in old age. this is case report of a patient of primary osteosarcoma and retrospective analysis of hospital data for the same.
