A RARE CASE OF SPONTANEOUS HAEMOPERITONEUM IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER
Abstract
Occurrence of spontaneous haemoperitoneum
during pregnancy is rare. In this
journal, a case of 28 year old women
gravida 4, para 3 , live 2, abortion 1, who
presented with acute abdominal pain and
not able to perceive fetal movements for
4 hrs, is presented. Ultrasound scan of
the patient confirmed absence of fetal
cardiac activity and the mother was
haemodynamically unstable. Hence,
emergency caesarean section was done
with clinical suspicion of abruption. The
cause for haemoperitoneum could not be
found
