A prospective study of intra cranial secondaries with occult primaries

Abstract


        Brain secondaries are the most common among the brain tumours. This prospective study was conducted on 25 patients in the Institute of Neurosurgery, Madras  Medical College from January 2016 to December 2016 to find out the site of the  primary lesion in patients                  presenting intracranial secondaries in imaging studies. Patients were evaluated to find out the occult primaries. In patients with negative screening, stereotaxic / open biopsy and histopathological examination of  the brain lesions were done.
