Coronary Artery Bypass Graft in a Young Adult, an increasing trend: A case report
Abstract
A twenty year (20) old female patient, without any cardiac risk
factors (non smoker, non diabetic and non hypertensive), was
diagnosed to have severe coronary artery disease, with
critical left main stenosis. OFF PUMP coronary artery bypass
graft surgery was performed with conduits harvested from the
saphenous vein. She had an uneventful recovery and was
discharged after ten days. This case report is to emphasize
and highlight the extremely early incidence of the coronary
artery disease and the best possible surgical management
that was offered to avoid premature cardiac related death.
