Abstract


Abstract Aim: To studyclinical profile and neurological recovery in cervical spine injury patients admitted to a state run tertiary care Centre. Objectives 1.To analyze the modes of injuries and their specific vertebral levels involved 2.To compare the neurological status on admission and Clinical outcome in post-operativeperiod during first, second and third months. 3.To analyze the time intervalbetween the injury and intervention in relation to neurological outcome. Materials and Methods This is a prospective analytical study conducted on 51 patients admitted in our Institute from NOVEMBER 2015 to JULY 2016. Tools used: 1.Completehistory and neurological examination 2.Disability evaluation by American Spinal Injury Association Grade Place of Study: Institute of Neurosurgery, Madras Medical College, Chennai.
