CASE STUDY OF BILATERAL OPTIC NEURITIS (PAPILLITIS) FOLLOWING FEVER IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER
Abstract
Reporting case study of bilateral papillitis following fever. These patients presented with diminished vision in both eyes following acute viral fever. These patients were diagnosed as bilateral papillitis, started on ONTT( Intravenous methylprednisolone 5oomg 12th hourly followed by oral prednisolone 1mg per kg body weight for 11 days). Following this treatment patients vision improved.
