A VERY RARE CASE OF HYPERREACTIOLUTEINALIS ASSOCIATED WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM IN NORMAL PREGNANCY -AN OFTEN MISTAKEN DIAGNOSIS.

MALINI S

Abstract

Hyperreactioluteinalis is moderate to cystic enlargement of ovaries due to multiple benign theca lutein cysts due to abnormal response of ovaries to Beta HCG . It is most commonly associated with vesicular mole and  Choriocarcinoma. Only very few cases of Hyperreactioluteinalis unassociated with trophoblatic disease have been previously reported. Misinterpretation at  laparotomy or erroneous histologic diagnosis results in  unnecessary surgery. This is a rare case of  Hyperreactioluteinalis associated with Hypothyroidism in a spontaneously conceived singleton pregnancy managed  nonsurgically resulting in successful vaginal delivery .
