KRISHNA AGARKHED

Abstract

Parotid duct injury due to penetrating injuries have been regularly encountered especially in war settings but injury due to blunt trauma as a cause has been a rare entity. On the other hand, a  parotid sialocele is an uncommon   clinical entity and is an acquired lesion that arises from  extravasation of saliva into glandular or periglandular tissues secondary to disruption of the parotid duct or   parenchyma. This case has been presented because of the post traumatic sialocele due to a blunt injury to the parotid duct.
