Acinic cell carcinoma of the tongue base - A rare tumour

Abstract


Acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) of the minor salivary glands of the base of tongue is an extremely rare tumour. Acinic cell carcinomas around the head and neck area are normally found in the parotid gland. We present an interesting case of the diagnosis and management of acinic cell  carcinoma of the tongue base in a thirty year old male.
