A RARE CASE OF DERMATO FIBRO SARCOMA PROTUBERANS

RENGANATHAN M

Abstract

A 35 years old female presented with complaint of painless progressive swelling for one year. biopsy revealed features of dermato fibro sarcoma protuberans. wide local excision of tumour of size 12x10x10cm with 2 cm clearance and primary closure was done. Resected specimen weighed about 1.5kg and resected margins were free from tumour cells. No post operative adjuvant was given. CONCLUSION I am presenting this case for its rarity. Incidence of 4 cases per million population. Post operative RT is not necessary if  margin clearance is adequate
