SPONTANEOUS RUPTURE OF INFECTED MESENTERIC PSEUDOCYST PRESENTING AS ACUTE ABDOMEN

PREMKUMAR E

Abstract

Mesenteric pseudocysts are rare, The etiology of these pseudocysts (manifested by acute abdomen) was  unknown. We suspect that inflammation spread and injured lymph vessels, causing lymph to leakout and pool under the subserosal layer. causes of mesenteric abscess are infected mesenteric cyst, infected mesenteric pseudocyst, crohns  disease, tuberculous mesenteric abscess. spontaneous           rupture of mesenteric abscess presenting as acute abdomen is very rare, only few cases reported in literature.
