Concomitant presentation of Mucormycosis with Allergic fungal sinusitis
Abstract
The simultaneous occurrence of invasive and non-invasive fungal sinusitis (mixed fungal sinusitis) is uncommon but its diagnosis has an implication on initiating appropriate therapy and thereby achieving a good outcome. We describe the clinical, radiological, histopathological and mycological features along with the treatment strategies followed in a patient with allergic fungal sinusitis on one side and acute invasive fungal sinusitis on the other.
