CLEAR CELL HIDRADENOMA OF BREAST -A RARE CASE REPORT

AMIRTHARAJAN V

Abstract

Clear cell hidradenoma is a benign skin adnexal tumor which arises from the eccrine sweat glands, the most common site being head ,neck and the proximal extremities. Clear cell hidradenoma arising from breast is very rare and only less than twenty five cases have been reported in literature. Here we report a rare case of clear cell hidradenoma which presented as a right breast lump in a 55 year old  postmenopausal woman in whom cytology was inconclusive and after excision biopsy a final diagnosis of clear cell hidradenoma was made with the help of histopathological and immunohistochemical study.
