High bifurcation of brachial artery into radial and ulnar arteries and its clinical significance

MANIMEKALAI M

Abstract

Variations in upper limb arteries are common. High origin of radial artery and ulnar artery from brachial artery in the right arm was detected during routine dissection in a 70 year old male cadaver, in our Department. The aim of present study is to discuss these variations with the help of Anatomy, Embryology and Clinical applications with reference to the literatures. A sound knowledge about the variations of radial artery and ulnar artery, is important for the diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures.
