HEREDITARY SENSORY AND AUTONOMIC NEUROPATHY - A CASE REPORT

RAJESH .

Abstract

The hereditary sensory and autonomic               neuropathies (HSAN) are a group of rare disorders                    characterized by prominent sensory and autonomic               neuropathy without motor involvement. This case report  describes a 20 year old male who had progressive auto         amputation of right leg and great toe of the left leg with acral mutilation of the fingers. This case is presented to highlight the progressive nature of the disease, importance of early diagnosis in preventing the complications, rarity of the               disease itself and scope for future research.
