An Interesting Case Report of Calotropis Induced Cardiotoxcity

Abstract


55 year old male admitted with alleged history of consumption of calotropis gigantea leaves milk 2 days before with complaints of palpitations. On routine evaluation, there was sinus bradycardia and nil significant physical findings. Later on admission, with persistent symptomatic bradycardia, he was diagnosed to have calotropis induced sinus node dysfunction and placed on TPI. He recovered later and pace maker removed and patient discharged with an advice for regular follow up.
