P.S.Sairam, S.Alagesan and Arumugapandia .

Abstract

Abstract:                  SSPE is a slow virus disease, a rare late neurologic sequelae to measles infection      acquired in childhood. It is clinically               characterized by myoclonic jerks and is usually fatal within 1-3 years. However acute fulminant forms of the disease are rarely observed in    one-tenth of the patients. We report one such rare observation with myoclonic jerks involving only one half of the body.
