Solid Pseudopapillary Tumor of the Pancreas ( SPPT ) - A Case Report

Abstract


Solid pseudo-papillary tumor is the rare tumor of the pancreas and typically seen in young female patients. Most common clinical finding is palpable abdominal mass. They are slow growing , may attain large size comprised of solid and cystic components and are of low malignant potential.              Metastases to liver, peritoneum can occur.  Patients usually survive even with metastases. Surgical resection is curative in most cases [3,4,5]. Here a rare case of Solid                       pseudo-papillary tumor of the pancreas in a 40 year old woman is discussed below.
