Jaleena E K .

Abstract

Xanthomas which represent subcutaneous lipid deposit, is not a disease per se but indicates an underlying primary hyperlipidemia or secondary causes. Hyperlipidemia if left untreated can lead on to complications like atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease and pancreatitis. Here we are reporting a case of tuberous xanthoma in a 10 year old non obese child with elevated lipid profile. Patient was started on medications for hyperlipidemia after complete evaluation.
