Abstract

Abstract

Aggressive lymphoma like Non-hodgkin lymphoma during pregnancy presents a difficult challenge in diagnosis as well as management. The intention of treatment is to give best chance of cure to the mother and to minimize the harm to foetus. Rituximab based multiagent chemotherapy is          considered safe during pregnancy especially during second and third trimester of pregnancy. However rituximab based chemotherapy may be associated with preterm delivery and intrauterine growth retardation. Here we report a case of 28 year old pregnant woman diagnosed with Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma at 22 weeks of gestation. She was treated with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, Vincristine and Prednisolone chemotherapy. Following the 4th of chemotherapy, she underwent preterm delivery .Subsequently she completed two more cycles of chemotherapy and a     presently in remission.
