Renal lymphangiomatosis : A Case report
Abstract
Renal lymphangiomatosis is a rare condition characterized by cystic lesions in the kidney resulting from malformation of renal and perirenal lymphatics. It is usually diagnosed by imaging because of the unique radiological picture. We studied a case of 20 years old lady who was incidentally found to have renal lymphangiomatosis by imaging. She developed severe pre-eclampsia and was found to have increased perirenal fluid collection during pregnancy, which are known complications of this entity. This condition should be considered in differential diagnosis of renal cystic mass.
