Membranous Nephropathy with MPO-ANCA: Not always a Vasculitis?

Gautam Rajan, Anjali Mohapatra, Shailesh .

Abstract

We describe a patient who presented with features            suggestive of a rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and was found to have secondary membranous nephropathy with high titres of MPO-ANCA. We argue that the presence of MPO-ANCA need not always suggest a vasculitic etiology, and a careful search for conditions that are associated with membranous nephropathy and high MPO-ANCA is warranted.
