An Interesting case of Pulmonary Embolism Masquerading as Supraventricular Tachycardia
Abstract
Acute pulmonary embolism is called the great
masquerader asits manifestations are variable. Sinus
tachycardia is the most common ECG abnormality in a patient
presenting with acute pulmonary embolism. Very few case
reports for acute pulmonary embolism presenting as
supraventricular tachycardia especially AVNRT
(Atrioventriculonodal re-entrant tachycardia) are
available.Hereby presenting one such case report.
