Bleomycin Induced Flagellate Erythema

Gaurav Dixit .

Abstract

Bleomycin induced flagellate erythema is a rare side effect of this drug. With diminishing use of this drug this side effect is becoming increasingly uncommon. Here we report a 24 year old female with Hodgkin disease on ABVD chemotherapy who developed bleomycin induced skin rash (flagellate erythema) after cycle 1B. It requires immediate stopping of the drug and symptomatic management in form of anti histaminics and short course of steroids.
