A case of Glanzmann Thrombasthenia

Muthukani S Sankaranarayanan .

Abstract

Glanzmann thrombasthenia is a rare inherited hemorrhagic disorder characterized by a severe reduction in, or absence of, platelet aggregation in response to multiple physiologic agonists because of qualitative or quantitative abnormalities of platelet glycoprotein (GPIIb CD41) and or (GPIIIa, CD61). We report a rare case of Glanzmann thromobasthenia.
