ULCUS TEREBRANS TYPE OF BASAL CELL CARCINOMA - A CASE REPORT
Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma is a common cutaneous malignancy characterised by local extension and very low occurrence of metastasis . In Ulcus terebrans type of BCC , chronic ulcer gradually penetrates adjacent tissues leading to their subsequent destruction . This case is reported for the rare presentation of a large ulcer involving left half of face with destruction of ear cartilage ,initially considered as lupus vulgaris , later diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma .
