A CASE REPORT OF HEPATITS - E WITH A DIFFERENCE

Abstract


Viral hepatitis may occasionally manifest with acute pancreatitis. Usually the patient
presents with abdominal pain in the second or third week of illness. Hepatitis A or E viruses are
mostly implicated. This is a case report of a young male presented with acute Hepatitis E infection
with pancreatitis and prolonged cholestasis. Patient was managed conservatively and had uneventful
recovery
