Infantile tremor syndrome- a case report
Abstract
phenomenon, usually presenting with coarse tremors,
anaemia, developmental regression and skin hyperpigmentation.
Multiple vitamin and mineral deficiencies are attributed to
its etiopathogenesis. We report an eight month old infant who
presented to us with rythmic, coarse, oscillatory movements
of the head and extremities, anaemia and dermal
hyperpigmentation. The child had clinical and biochemical
evidence for vitamin B12 deficiency. Tremors had subsided
after parenteral high dose vitamin B12 therapy.
Keyword :Tremors, developmental regression, anaemia,
