Workshop as a teaching methodology

Abstract


Today, educators are faced with many interesting and baffling challenges. Educational system expects the nurses to act intelligently and responsibly with regard to clinical and community affairs of which she is a member of professional learning. Selecting the particular strategy for teaching learning experience is based on various reasons : the topic, the group, the content or the issue . Varying the strategies also has the advantage of appealing to all types of learners. Throughout the course it is important to vary the strategies as lecture method followed by the same closure can be very boring. Faculty may create interest among students by implementing better methodologies. One such methodology/ strategy is ‘Workshop’ which is a meeting during which experienced people in responsible positions come together to find solutions to problems that has risen in the recent times. The true essence of Workshop is compete active involvement by each and every participant.
